up on the stairs
waving me goodbye
as i was there
on the street
in the heavy rain
walking away from you
you were going to dance
and drink
to welcome the summer

i was just going to drink
as i wanted those memories to fade away
when you teached me
those things
you thought
were so important for me to learn
and you were right
but i wasn’t ready
for all that stuff
and you just wanted
to have fun and dance
and i wondered
if fun was all that matters
what do you do
when all those rainy and windy
dark nights come
when the summer has vanished
when all that sunshine
is just a memory
do you really need
more than all that
dance and fun
just killing some memories
i never got to know
or are you just
dancing the years away
as you are dancing
the summer away
and there somewhere
