« Walkin' Thru The Park · I Ain't Nothing But »
Summer Is Gone
It was a long long winter
full of sorrow and freeze
so many cigarettes
too much thinkin’
dark were the days
darker were those nights
and in the spring
when sun turned to shine
got some sunshine to my heart
and there were you
and i wasn’t ready at all
until that one night
not so dark anymore
skin to skin
lips to lips
found your soul
se beautiful it was
and you
you helped to find my own soul
to the place it should have been
all the way thru the summer
the hot hot summer
you kept my soul
cloes to your own soul
hand in hand we walked
to the places we had to go
feelin’ the summer
as it never goes away
until dawn will rise
soul to soul
hand in hand
lips to lips
but that summer
it went for a fall
and dark came the nights
your soul drifted away
that light i loved so
and now
now i’m only sittin’ here
writin’ these things
and wonderin’
if the love soul
will ever find my sole soul again
but now my soul is there
where it should be
and it will be easier to find
please my lady
don’t lose my soul
as you won’t lose your own
keep it there
somewhere.
